Who Must Pay Texas Sales Tax?
All end users purchasing goods in the State of Texas. Farmers and Ranchers must pay sale tax when using the Container as a Barn, Portable Building or for Storage. For a more detailed explanation, please click on the link below.
Tax Exemptions for Agriculture Explanation
If the Container is used exclusively to produce Agriculture Products for sale, then the Ag Exemption may apply. For examples of items that are exempt from sales tax when used exclusively on a farm or ranch to produce agricultural products for sale and purchased by a person with a current ag/timber number, please click on link below and refer to page 2.
If you qualify for an exemption, you must provide a copy of the completed 1-924 Ag Exemption Form.
